TMC's growthfuture rides on Metro

Has anyone noted the change in tone from say, six months ago?

The realization that being METRO's attack dogs, protecting that boondoggle, demented "Demolition Derby" tram, that they helped force on taxpayers, has not been perceived positively with the public seems to have finally sunk in over at 801 Texas Avenue. Now, it seems they have reverted to the Rodney King-like plea of "Can't we all just get along?"

After drawing first blood, when METRO "poisoned the well" by using our tax money against us to hire John O'Quinn to fight all the way to the Texas Supreme Court to prevent a vote; and, were we read in the Houston Chronicle "
Secret MEMO" and
"A Houston odyssey: DeLay, Lanier and light rail" that the editors clearly connived to maul anyone, including Mayor Bob AND his most gracious wife, who did not worship at the alter of "Light Rail" a new manipulative tactic is now applied so as to "roll" the Congressman as well as anyone else who opposes throwing more good taxpayer cash down the Main Street "rat hole" tram project.

I for one do not think the Honorable John Culberson is as gullible as the Houston Chronicle appears to think.
