Subject: The
Wealthy Houston Chronicle Daily Newspaper Monopoly Should Fund
the Rail Consultants if they Believe Rail is so wonderful and
successful
Date: Fri,
21 May 2004 01:09:41 -0500
It's time for
the pro-rail lemmings at the Houston Chronicle to "Put
Up Or Shut Up" about wasteful boondoggle Rail.
If they truly believe rail is so wonderful and successful,
then they should put up the capital to not only fund the study,
they can pay to build it, and I would be the first to encourage
them to keep the profit (less the typical local, state and federal
confiscatory taxes which they are minimally exposed to now).
Otherwise, STOP trying to pressure our elected leaders to squander
precious taxpayer funds on wasteful, boondoggle rail.
The voters were duped by METRO, the special interests, and thier
willing accomplices in the press into voting to spend billions
of tax dollars to build extensions of that demented "Demolition
Derby" on Main Street.
