METRORail Collision #48 - Why Now Does METRO Start Admitting To Tram Operator Error

I find this revelation, after the 48th METRORail Collision, and after METRO has filed the application for billions in federal money to start their version of a "Big Dig" subway system, interesting.

Would such admissions, prior to the June 30th filing made to the FTA, have jeopardized the eligibility status of METRO's rail schemes?

Will METRO now admit that it concocted the ridership numbers for the first six months, going so far as devising a way to allow "free fares" for many daily riders working in the Medical Center area?

As the public schools became the classic example for METRO with the federal school lunch program; the higher school districts inflated the number of children enrolled for the school lunches, the more massive a "windfall" they would receive. Billions and billions in federal funds for the educrats.

METRO surely has learned, by routing as many as half the routes in the service area so as to force the poor and minority, bus transit dependent riders onto the tram, and to knowingly make the tram a "Free Fare" ride virtually for every one who rides in the Medical Center these initial six months so as to boost the "body count" for the FTA rail funding application. They too can expect billions and billions, and billions of federal money to squander on their addiction to rail.

Who's watching out for whom?
